History
“In 1957, several members of Montreal’s Jewish community decided to establish Pinegrove. Today, the Club has a membership of just over 500 individuals from every community. The initial Board of Directors enlisted the talents of the noted golf course architect Howard Watson. Pinegrove has been received as a difficult and prestigious course and was designated by RCGA to host the Canadian Open in 1964 and 1969. Our course record is 64 and was established by none other than Tommy Aaron, winner of the 1969 Canadian Open. In 2006, Pinegrove hosted the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship. Professionals and amateurs have long considered Pinegrove as one of the most beautiful and certainly one of the most challenging golf courses in Quebec and in Canada.”
